How well maintained is the Thunderprop T6/Harvard, given its age?

Our T6/Harvard has undergone a full restoration, and is maintained on a Public Transport Category Certificate of Airworthiness by Apollo Aviation. This is the highest level of maintenance and condition required by the Civil Aviation Authority for Light Aircraft, involving extensive checks every 50 flying hours.

I loved the flight, and would like to explore the possibility of learning to fly. What is my next step?
