The Thunderprop T6 Harvard is based at Shoreham Airport with the Real Flying Company, a well established flying school, which specialises in the operation of classic tailwheel aircraft, aerobatic training, and flying experiences in vintage and modern aircraft.

Shoreham Airport, on the Sussex coast, just to the west of Brighton, is a fantastic airfield from which to fly. The airport itself sits between the magnificent backdrop of the South Downs and the sea, and benefits from good flying weather all year round.

Shoreham Airport is steeped in history. It is the oldest licensed airfield in the UK, and has a beautiful Grade II listed Art Deco Terminal Building. Visitor facilities are excellent, with an Airport Visitor's Centre, two restaurants, and outside viewing areas that offer any guests that may accompany you pleasant surroundings in which to enjoy their visit. If you prefer, we will happily host your guests in the Real Flying Company's comfortable offices.

We pride ourselves on being flexible to your own particular requirements on the day of your flight, and can offer a number of different experiences in our aircraft, depending on for how long you want to fly, and whether you want to spend any of that time upside down!

Our prices are competitive and surprisingly affordable. Flying a Warbird is never going to be an inexpensive pastime. However, in terms of the experience, a flight in the Harvard represents incomparable value, and we guarantee you will be more than satisfied.

All flight times are ‘chock to chock’, which means they are based on the time the engine starts to the time it shuts down.

If you are a student pilot, or the holder of a pilot's licence, you will be able to enter these times in your logbook, and show the T6/Harvard as a notable type you have flown. Your Instructor will be happy to assist and countersign the entry on the day.

Corporate and Away Days

The T6 Harvard can be an exciting centre piece to a memorable Corporate Event. If you require a number of flights, it may be possible for us to bring the aircraft to an airfield of your choosing. Please contact us with your ideas.
